:: What is Vaniqa?
Vaniqa (eflornithine hydrochloride) is the first and only FDA-approved prescription cream clinically proven to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair for women. Other products you may be using remove hair but Vaniqa actually slows down the growth of hair, so that significantly more time passes before you have to remove unwanted facial hair again.

Vaniqa is manufactured by SkinMedica Inc., based in Carlsbad, California, USA.

:: What results should I expect with Vaniqa?
Vaniqa works by slowing the growth of facial hair. Overtime, you may find that you spend less time having to shave, tweeze, wax or use any other facial hair removal method.
Improvement with Vaniqa occurs gradually over time. Some patients see results in as few as eight weeks while for others it takes longer. In a 24-week clinical trial, over half of the women who participated saw significant improvement after 8-12 weeks of use. This percentage increases over time. These same studies confirmed that Vaniqa works better the longer it is used.
If you see no improvement in six months, stop using Vaniqa.
If you stop using Vaniqa for an extended period of time, hair will begin growing at the same rate as before.

:: What methods of hair removal can be used with Vaniqa?
Vaniqa can be used with your choice of hair removal methods such as:
- Shaving or trimming - Depilatories (products that chemically dissolve hair) - Friction (rough surfaces used to buff away hair) - Tweezing - Waxing (hot or cold) - Sugaring - Threading (also called fatlah or khite: using a twisted thread to catch the hairs as     it’s rolled across the skin) - Rotary epilators (devices that rapidly grasp and pull hairs out by the root) - Electrolysis - Laser hair removal
By using Vaniqa with any of the above hair-removal methods, over time as Vaniqa slows hair growth, you will gradually be removing hair less often.
