:: How does Flextra DS work?
Phenyltoloxamine citrate, the first active ingredient in Flextra DS, belongs to the ethanolamine chemical class of antihistamines. Histamine is a chemical that is released when you have an allergic reaction to a compound. It leads to symptoms of redness, congestion, swelling and itchiness. Phenyltoloxamine competes with histamine by blocking its action on cells and preventing symptoms such as sneezing, itchy, watery eyes and nose.
Acetaminophen, the second active ingredient in Flextra DS, is a pain reliever and fever reducer which inhibits the production of compounds in your nervous system that make pain receptors more sensitive to stimulation.
